Review of The Collection (2012) by Andrew R — 06 Apr 2013
A now action horror thriller film that felt redundant, and less creative than the predecessor. Arkin (Josh Stewart) escapes from a serial killer known as the Collector. Although, Arkin is forced to aid a team from Mr.
Peters (Christopher McDonald) to help rescue his daughter Elena (Emma Fitzpatrick) who is held captive by the collector. The movie did have some great intense moments of Arkin exploring the Collectors hideout of a warehouse, and a brutal climax.
The performance from Josh Stewart was better than the last movie as he brought fear, and some courage to face off against the mastermind serial killer. Although, the story was lacking creativeness and felt redundant with having a team looking for the Elena while having more gut wrenching scenarios.
There is even more plot holes with even bigger traps that felt a little too convenient and far fetched. The ending of the movie felt a little out of placed, and weak. Overall, The Collection is by far the inferior sequel that was way too repetitive, and brought nothing new to the table.
