Review of The Cold Light of Day (2012) by Ty K — 15 Sep 2012
As much action as there was in this piece the elements just didn't add up to make this movie worth seeing again.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that the majority of viewers and critics are very disappointed that Bruce Willis hardly played a role in this movie. All I will say is that you will see him for roughly 20 minutes throughout the entire film. So if you had high hopes that your hero, Bruce, would make this piece worth while, well then you are sadly another victim of misleading movie trailers.
I think it is very safe to say that the writing and the plot in this piece are terribly cliche and predictable. The ending is everything you will expect to happen. It's almost as if the writers gave up. Very armature at best. The acting is very mediocre.
This film is pretty much like every other Action movie you've seen. A family gets kidnapped, the last family member fights to save his family; you get the point. It's nothing that we haven't seen before. Keep that in mind when you buy your tickets to this armature, film festival, entry level movie.
