Review of The Cold Light of Day (2012) by James D — 03 Mar 2013
(1 Star) It's not often an actor portrays exactly how you feel in a movie you're watching. In The Cold Light of Day, Sigourney Weaver can't muster up any emotion, even with all the chases, mysterious briefcases, silenced pistols, kidnapping, torture, and rouge agents all around her. She barely bats an eye at her own car accident and monotones all her dialogue... she knows this movie is junk.
And I can't really say much about this because it's the worst kind of bad: it's boring. At least with the (disturbingly) similar Abduction, there were a million awful things to make fun of, but this is nothing but a Jason Bourne ripoff that somehow got a promising cast. There's no reason to see The Cold Light of Day... it makes for a very long hour and thirty-three minutes.
