Review of The Cobbler (2014) by Joanne B — 21 Feb 2015
28% This was really just a mediocre movie. Man, I just realized that I have been in a drought lately. Anyway, The Cobbler is about a Cobbler, that when his regular shoe fixing machine breaks, he has to use one of the old ones. He then finds out that whatever shoe he fixes with the old machine, he can transform into the owner of the Shoes. You Know, the first half of the movie WAS pretty enjoyable. There was kind of a montage, and that was very good. But the movie itself kept dragging. There was the introduction of the Bad Guys, and that was a bit meh itself. The thing is, they really marketed Dustin Hoffman in this movie. They made you think that he was gonna be one of the main characters, but the truth is, he was in it for 10 Min. Made you think this was a Dustin Hoffman movie.
Overall: The Cobbler seems pretty enjoyable, but really, the movie drags too much and at the end of it it kind of feels like another bad Adam Sandler flick. Better than other of Sandler's work at least.
I'm gonna start adding Letters to my reviews, so for example, this movie gets a:
28% and a D.
