Review of The Cobbler (2014) by Trevor S — 22 Mar 2015
Im not sure that I watched the same film as all who hated it so much, but what I gleened was a sweet story, reminiscent of Groundhogs Day, with a tiny bit of very bad things thrown in, I thought the cast was perfect, and I def prefer Adam Sandler in these indie rolls vs his goofball comedy stuff.
Time and again I have had the notion that many critics and folks here on RT have forgotten what it means to have a simple sweet story shown to them, I don't need my mind blown ever time I watch a film, sometimes I just want to laugh like a child and believe in a cobblers fairy tale.
... Also being someone who loves watching shows like how its made, just observing the process of making shoes was very magical for me... something we all take for granted, yet such an important part of our lives.
.. Surprisingly good job by Method Man who played a whimsically docile role combined with a heavy one... I enjoyed the heck out of this... Im glad I went with my gut and not the RT haters...
