Review of The Cobbler (2014) by Frank P — 04 May 2015
This film unintentionally saddens me, It really looked like a good idea on paper with Sandler stepping into a little story driven comedy. But unfortunately it feels more like a step DOWN from his stupid comedies.
Why? Well while Sandler is usually good as stepping into his roles shoes (no pun intended) he really can't do it here. The story doesn't really go anywhere in spite of it's originality. and to top it off, it's really sappy at times.
I advise Mr. Sandler to try to stick with his stupid slapstick comedies.
