Review of The Clown at Midnight (1999) by Cecily B — 10 Jun 2010
I was in the mood for a bad horror movie to watch, so I figured I'd check out this film. Well, it was certainly bad. The funny thing is, this has Christopher Plummer and Margot Kidder in it, and it's just a typical slasher film, a group of high school kids (or college, I can't remember) get locked in a theater where a killer clown is on the loose.
The deaths aren't that great, the clown isn't scary, and it's hilarious seeing Plummer trying to take this seriously when he gives a monologue near the beginning of the film. There was only one cool/creepy scene in the film, it was a dream sequence near the beginning, if they had done more stuff like that, it would have been an okay film.
But instead, it's just a bad, predictable, and cliched film.
