Review of The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Wayne J — 17 Apr 2018
The Cloverfield Paradox is on the high side of a two star movie. It looks great and it is not so dumb that you laugh out loud at its stupidity. This is another case of me wondering why millions were spent on sets and CGI effects yet almost nothing on the writing.
One of the characters blithely jokes after his arm is amputated, as if this is just another funny day on the space station of death. Other characters are unceremoniously killed off as if this was Final Destination in space.
On the whole, I found the story good enough to suspend disbelief.
