Review of The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Dan H — 05 Feb 2018
It definitely is a better fit for the Clover-verse than 10 Cloverfield Lane and better ties into the events of the first film. That said, it doesn't all add up perfectly, the film raises tons more questions, doesn't make complete sense given the events of the first film, and it manages to be pretty confusing when you try to fit all the puzzle pieces together.
The Cloverfield Paradox is not a bad film. It's got a great cast, an interesting premise, it gamely attempts to explain the events of Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane, and it's pretty fun for the most part.
That said, it is very messy and isn't a fully satisfying experience. If you are a fan of the Clover-verse, it's worth a watch but out of the 3 films we've received thus far, Cloverfield is still the best one.
