Review of The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Ariel C — 05 Feb 2018

First, look at this movie as a prequel. The slow pace of this movie made me fall asleep twice. 3rd time was the charm once I picked up where I left off the previous 2 times I knocked out. Well acted, script still had much to be desired, SFX really well done.

Now lets to the meat of the review (spoilers ahead / maybe, not really sure - its a cloverfield movie):

The working title of this movie was called 'The God Particle' and was changed to the cloverfield name for brand recognition. Just like 10 Cloverfield Lane its a movie that stands by itself with a strings to the original. The dialogue in the tv interview essentially explained how the Cloverfield universe exist. then about 90 minutes of weird stuff in space happens then you see the link the first movie for 3 seconds. But with Cloverfield 4 coming out in November I wonder how all this will tie in to itself.
