Review of The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Patrick M — 05 Feb 2018

So, a bunch of people that don't get it watched this movie expecting a blockbuster and/or award winning movie apparently. When that is not what they saw they decided to slam it in a big way. The problem is this movie never even pretends to be THAT kind of movie. If watched for what it is, a fun and twisted story about man playing with things he doesn't understand and the unintended consequences...FAR reaching consequences...that occur as a result, you will enjoy it.

It has a great cast, well acted, some pretty cool and twisted things happen, and there is a taste of dark humor thrown in too...with a Twilight Zone-esque ending.

If you are fascinated by the Cloverfield universe and want some sort of explanation of what triggered all of the craziness from the other movies, then watch this. You will enjoy it, and didn't even have to pay theater prices to see it. If you don't even regularly like this kind of movie, you will not like this one either...big freaking surprise, or not.

I enjoyed it, and will not apologize for liking it...to each their own...
