Review of The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Miko S — 26 Feb 2018
Great premise, skilled actors, and yet the script...oh dear god no.
So many wrong turns that force you out of the narrative. Never mind the clumsy cliché moments that leave you cursing the screen in disappointment.
Who honestly thought that a defining moment would be the whole existence of the universe is at stake...but heck, let's throw an ego driven hissy fit of jealousy and self preservation. WHY!!! Because that is the scifi survival cliché that just HAD to be used.
Shame as you could almost sense the actors wanting more to share with the audience - instead, they got a dismembered arm and a baseless horror flick that belonged in the 90s.
