Review of The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) by Howard R — 04 Feb 2018

While this is a decent sci-fi movie, the inconsequential plot twists start to add up quickly throughout the movie. It meanders into old sci-fi tropes, while distancing itself from a more coherent storyline.

The acting is good, with a cast that has good chemistry. Directing is also predictably good. The script however is neither as inventive as the other Cloverfield movies, or as interesting. Overall, if you have Netflix and enjoy space themed sci-fi movies, this is worth the one hour and 40 minute investment of time; just don't expect too much.
