Review of The Client (1994) by James S — 13 Mar 2008
Solid thriller, well set in the mould of those legal dramas that were popular around the early to mid 90s. The film delivers a few decently tense scenes and a couple of good performances, though Tommy Lee Jones is a let down as his character is never really given a chance to shine.
It's all pretty clever as you would expect from Grisham source material and although the drama drops from time to time, it always seems to manage to wretch it back up again.
Solid if unspectacular stuff.
