Mark: Thanks Rev. Roy, you've been a real pain in the ass.

Roy: Thank you, son. I can assure you, you have been an even larger pain in the ass.

A pretty decent thriller. I have not read the book, or even was aware that this is an adaptation of a book, so I can't say really how it compares.

The movie is about an 11 year old boy, Mark and his brother, Ricky who are nearly killed by a psychotic mafia lawyer attempting to commit suicide in the woods. It ends up with this lawyer killing himself. The two kids are brought to the police as witnesses. Ricky goes into a coma due to being so scared. Now it's up to Mark to hire an attorney for himself when the district attorney tries to use the child (or should I say the client) to take down the mob.

Lawyer's Secretary: Where are your parents?

Mark: Where are yours?

Lawyer's Secretary: Are you even injured?

Mark: Do I look injured?

Lawyer's Secretary: Well, we only do injuries.

Mark: Well, I'll just go get hit by a truck and come back.

What this movie is really about is how Mark bonds with his female lawyer Reggie. It is all fairly believable and the two actors have great chemistry.

This is still a fairly forgettable film. I wish there were more things to offer that would make this bigger and better.

At least you can never go wrong with Tommy Lee Jones.

Roy: Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, so sayeth the Psalms!

Judge Harry Roosevelt: That's Proverbs 12:22.
