As sporting documentaries go, it's quite classy.

Whilst keeping a focus on that sporting cliche; an unlikely outcome won by team effort and belief, The Class of `92 makes the journey special by focusing on a select group of players. For any Englishman, sports aficionado or football fan (especially Man Utd fans) they're not just players - they're legends.

These household names get their own focus away from the fairy tale of the beautiful game, instead exploring their characters and ties with the club from youth level upwards. Yes, it's a talking head documentary for the most part but the anecdotes within are extremely entertaining. Who knew Ryan Giggs was so good at telling funny stories?

Some may not like that history of this journey is placed into socio-political context with regard to the UK in 1992 and 1999, but it serves well to anchor these household names in real history, not just sporting history.

It would have been nice to hear from a few more people from around that time (we only get snippets from Robbie Savage, Eric Cantona and Zinedine Zidane) and to see a follow-up on each member since they left Man Utd. However, these are small gripes with what is a very accomplished, simple yet engrossing film. A bit like Scholes really.

Definitely worth 90 minutes of you time. Sincerely, an Arsenal fan.

Ps. They never went a whole season unbeaten though, did they?
