A truly wonderful achievement. Cantet may not show the visual flourishes of a Gilliam or a Burton but through his simple observational style, he creates a mesmerising look into a class standing in as a metaphor for french society as a whole.
Way better than any "inspirational teacher film" that Hollywood can make. Check it out.
