Review of The Class (2008) by Gareth M — 14 Mar 2009
It seems very generic but also completely authetic in texture tone and believability Although culturally and systematically different to "English" schooling. The film is directly told from a view point that seats you in the class.
Basically a 2 hr debate on the view points and behaviour of different ability students from different backgrounds, caucastions/arabs/black and asians . The main teacher/pupil conflict which I presumed was the core of the film is only ushered in at the end; and like so many of it topics it seems rushed, and somewhat unfinished.
