Review of The Class (2008) by Miz B — 16 Mar 2009
If someone would explain to me why as a teacher in a multi-cultural urban setting I would put myself through seeing this film, I would be grateful. I am sure it is well done, though lots of predictable behavior on so many people's parts makes me roll my eyes and reminds me I could just watch this live at my or any other school around me.
But power to the folks who are not teaching. I do appreciate it is a no-holds-barred kinda film. The ending, though? A little too neat. That is how it ends, fer shure, but unnecessary, I thought, given the approach of the rest of the film.
