I was surprised at how much I related to the individual characters and the situation they found themselves in - adolescents in a transitional year of school in which they won't realize how much they've learned until somewhere far in the future.
I saw it with a group of people who really didn't like it, and I was taken aback at the end when I was chided for thinking it so gripping.
