Review of The Class (2008) by Siiriliina R — 30 Mar 2009
This film did so well at really capturing realism. If you had told me that was a documentary going into it, I would have not questioned it for a second. All the actors (especially the children) felt so natural and real, and it was those performances that really elevated the film.
It also does a really good job of making it really feel like a REAL year. Many problems are introduced, but not all of them are dealt with or resolved, as it would be in real life. The main problem that arises at the end is extraordinarily compelling and really had me gripped during the last act of the movie.
