A documentary style film that defies the heroic teacher myth of Hollywood films and reveals teachers and students as prisoners of the same flawed system. The classroom becomes symbolic of society as a whole: and although no answers to questions raised are offered, the class is portrayed as a source of disaster and promise, hope and despair, affection and enmity.
