Review of The Class (2008) by Andrew F — 06 May 2009
Impeccably crafted, but I'm that cranky old man who's always gonna be angry at the film for taking the French Foreign Film nomination at the Oscars over the far superior A Christmas Tale. With that said, the performances were uniformly excellent - and there's nothing I can really fault the film for.
I just can't LOVE it as much as I'd hoped to. I never really made that emotional connection that I made to a film like A Christmas Tale. I understand it's unfair to compare the two. I don't care.
