Review of The Class (2008) by Sarah K — 13 May 2009
None of the people in the movie are actors: the kids are the real class about which Francois Begaudeau wrote the book and he is the real teacher / writer and it was all set in the real school .. I liked the part where he tries to explain to the students that it is not because you are a man with sensitivity/sensibility for art, music, literature that you have to be gay - that it is not because you like books and opera that you can't be a "real man" :) .
. I have a new appreciation for teachers .. the amount of patience, persistence, resilience and self discipline required is exceptional .. Great movie I recommend it to all.
