Review of The Class (2008) by Ramesh S — 22 Aug 2009
Even though the film is based on a novel by a teacher in an inner city school in Paris, the film is more a documentary than a story. This is not to say it is uninteresting or that it lacks some drama. It is a fascinating account of a year in a class of ethnically mixed kids who are, to say the least, a handful.
One of the most interesting features of the movie is the quiet dedication of the faculty, both to teaching and to treating the students fairly.
