Review of The Class (2008) by Pat G — 18 Sep 2009
This film won top prize at Canne in 2008. Maybe it was the home field advantage of being a French film, or that it was unique view of education using an open script and improvisation to create the story.
The story does translate well. The school could be a metro/suburban U.S. high school. The cast, direction and ideas are good; however, the actual conflicts were something I found less compelling.
