Review of The Class (2008) by Codie E — 11 Dec 2009
Had me hanging on every word, Cantet and actor/novelist Francois Begaudeau wring out truth and intent in every moment of the film. It's hard not to get angry while watching the film, finding fault in the educational system or the grey areas in influencing or trying to take control of the class.
Technically flawless and performed with so much conviction that it feels more like a documentary. In my opinion, the finest French film since Renoir's La Règle Du Jeu.
