Review of The Class (2008) by Kjetil A — 18 Dec 2009
I found it enthralling from start to finish. Some really genuine performances and just plain great dialogue. Also as an outsider looking in I liked the debate over the meaning and purpose of education, standards, democratic legitimacy and national identity, all situated within the classroom - the ultimate space and symbol of republicanism.
A brilliant film. Worthy, clever, funny and touching. Well worth a watch.
