Review of The Class (2008) by Louise G — 21 Jan 2010
A quiet film, but a good one. Particularly interesting in the realm of language--shows how different languages and dialects function in a culture, how one's class experience is shaped by having or not having language, and how acquiring language can be fraught with tension.
That the film is set in a grammar classroom very much frames the way it proceeds.
