Review of The Class (2008) by Kristin R — 30 Jul 2011
A film that reinforces my belief that I would never make a good teacher. This is realistic and gritty, and a true to life portrait of a fallible man struggling to guide his outspoken students, who question him at every turn.
The hostility of some of the students is frightening, and at the end of the film I felt respect but also shame for the lead character. This is not a film for everyone, but it definitely deserving of all the high praise it received.
