Review of The Class (2008) by Béatrice S — 17 Apr 2009
I had such high expectation for this film because it won Palme d'or at Cannes (the jury chose this film unanimously). But it was a little disappointing.
It's a very poignant and realistic documentary-like drama that talks about real issues, such as cultural and racial differences. The real teacher and students playing themselves in the movie added realism. But the pace was soooo slow and there were several stories left unresolved.
