Review of The Class (2008) by Brian S — 03 Dec 2009
Fantastic film. while it does carry tones of traditional "teacher movies", it's also a lot more realistic. it's emotional, but it doesn't try to be. the protagonist line is also blurred--the audience's sympathies alternate between the teachers and the students.
honest, thought-provoking writing with solid acting and a gripping storyline. Begaudeau brings his novel to life brilliantly with the help of the skillful directing of Laurent Cantet. awesome movie.
