Review of The Class (2007) by Cheryl C — 06 Apr 2009
A very solid piece of cinematography, precise and realistic image of a typical Parisian class. With little teaching experience as I have, I sat there full of admiration for the teacher's enthusiasm and belief, facing everyday problems created by ethnic differences and temperaments - the fight itself was multidimensional - it wasn't only a daily struggle with classroom challenges, but also the fight against the urge to snap.
A very accurate depiction of contemporary teenagers, who are able to break every rule and everyone.
