Review of The Class (2007) by Kayvon P — 15 Aug 2009
Perhaps the only dramatic film to faithfully capture the experiences of authentic teaching and learning, in both their best and worst moments. Its writer and lead actor is a real teacher, and scenes are improvised by real students.
Much like the 2002 teaching documentary, To Be and To Have, this is a refreshing antidote to the saccharine, dishonest schlock produced by the Hollywood classroom genre.
