Review of The Class (2007) by Trevor W — 31 Aug 2009
Simply shot in a documentary style, the audience is included in all the dilemmas of staff-staff, staff-pupil & pupil-pupil interactions that form the sum of the academic year represented in this inner city Parisian school.
I was totally absorbed by The Class and cared about all the characters represented. There are no good or bad people, just people of all ages and various ethnicities with all the "normal" traits and flaws represented in the human condition.
A stunningly simple film without a true beginning or end. A privilege to have seen it.
