Review of The Class (2007) by Kiyomi F — 03 Feb 2011
It was like I was watching a documentary... very calm, no Hollywood-style exaggeration, yet very powerful. Intensed conversation between the teacher and students from various ethnic/family backgrounds reflected the ethnic/class issues in modern France.
Student struggled to be recognized through challenging authority, and the closest authority they had was their enthusiastic teacher who tried his best to tell them they are all special. Very good cast as well.
