Review of The Class (2007) by Aroonav D — 19 Feb 2011
If this were an American movie, the ending would be uplifting, the teacher would end the year knowing he had made a difference, and at least one student would go on to graduate from an Ivy League school.
But this movie is a bit more realistic and concludes with a bittersweet note and a lot of questions. The teacher's naïvetà (C) gets dinked in the process and one is left to wonder if he will find the strength to start all over again come September.
