Review of The Clapper (2018) by Dave S — 06 Jun 2018
Talk about fate. I came home to my depressing apt. from my depressing job as an audience extra only to find a movie about a depressing guy who works as an audience extra and lives in the EXACT part of scummy East Hollywood that I live in! The 99 cent store in the movie is literally across the street from my apt.
Art imitates life. I'm also the same age as Ed Helms. Pretty freaky huh? I felt like a loser watching this movie, however, it did touch me and felt really nice when they were in the museum. Pretty unbelievable that a babe like Seyfried would ever go for a guy like Ed Helms who's 13 years older though.
She would have to be a drug addict and a lot less pretty. Ultimately I gave this movie 5 stars because it was so crazy similar to my life and I recognized all the locations. Also I like Tracy Morgan and Amanda Seyfried.
I liked Ed Helms on the office until he went to anger mgmt and stopped being a believable character. Not his fault though. He did gong two of my friends on gong show and he was pretty rude about it though so I think my days of rooting for him are over.
All in all I enjoyed this movie and would recommend to other people that live in East Hollywood, work as an extra and enjoy Amanda Seyfried and Tracy Morgan.
