Review of The City of Your Final Destination (2009) by Robert T — 18 Nov 2010

I recently had the chance to watch this film. I personally have not heard of this film before. After doing some research on it, I think the film was released to several film festivals back in 2008, but was not widely distributed until 2010 -- this year.

The film's story and plot was interesting. I actually enjoyed it simple, yet complex storyline and the interesting characters. The cast in the film was good, and the cast was very diverse, as well.

It has been a while since I have seen a film with a diverse cast of characters from different parts of the world. The film's cinematography and art direction was great, as well. One thing that bothered me was how the film was edited.

It seems the director, or the editor, enjoyed cutting scenes before it actually ended. In addition, I think they enjoyed adding quick scenes that doesn't even make sense between important scenes. The idea was interesting.

It seems the director or editor wanted the audience to use their imagination while watching the film. For me, I was using reflecting as to why they would do such as a thing. Though on an artistic stance, it worked.

Overall, the film was entertaining. There were some boring moments in the film, and moments that did not make any real sense, but the film was a good find. A little surprising the film did not make headway in Hollywood.
