Review of The Circus (1928) by Joel A — 14 Mar 2010
Despite the many flaws of Chaplin, he created a extraordinary immortal character the 'tramp' and you got to give him credit for that. This is one of his lesser know films but it was fantastic..
. the humor was there but so was his infamous nasty side, but the gags flowed well and where enjoyable. The story was simple but Chaplin liked it no other way, the final tightrope scene is a must see!! the monkey's are classic.
..definitely a Chaplin Classic!!
