Review of The Circle (2017) by Adrian M — 13 May 2017
Better than I expected. I thought it was probably going to be just dystopic at first and then primitivist toward the end, recommending some kind of "ditch technology, return to nature/RL" nonsense, but no.
It actually went the progressive route and took a step forward rather than back, leaving you with questions to ponder on your way home. In that it did much more with its chosen topic than Ghost in the Shell 2017 did with its own (the latter taking the conservative and quite cliched way out, which was a disgrace).
