Review of The Circle (2017) by Jeremy C — 08 Jan 2018
Well this was an interesting one...
Based on the novel, the concept behind this is interesting and concerning at the same time, showing us how dangerous technology can be in this world and why monopolies are illegal.
However the movie lacked depth and commitment to the scenes that are meant to frighten us, meant to reveal our deepest mistakes in this, the world of technology.
Though this was a good idea I hope that someone else can produce another in the future to pick up where this one lacks.
Positive note: Emma Watson, the acting in this was admirable showing at first what the day to day life of most of us workers looks like, she has the raw talent and under a different director and screenwriter this could have been the biggest blockbuster instead of a flop.
That's my view.
