Review of The Circle (2017) by Thesodomizer — 02 Jan 2018
Going into The Circle I taught to myself: "It's a Tom Hanks & Emma Watson movie, what could possibly go wrong." Well I was mistaken. While Tom & Emma perform relatively good this movie and it's story we're pointless.
The Circle was supposed to be a life lesson, teaching us about (from what I understood) the dangers of technology. But the only thing I learned from The Circle was that two good actors (in this case Tom Hanks & Emma Watson) don't instantly make a good movie.
When the credits rolled I was in disbelief. I tought that couldn't possibly be it. Something was missing from the movie and I had trouble finding out what. In the end I didn't. That was really it. While The Circle had good performances and good idea, the big problem was the story, which just seemed unfinished.
Like the writers give up half way trough the story.
