Review of The Cincinnati Kid (1965) by Michael G — 25 Nov 2006
The Cincinnati Kid is a highly dissapointing account of gambling gone bad. Norman Jewison's directon is good as well as the acting, but the screenplay is off. The first half of the film is pointless, none of the actual action happens until the the last half hour.
The film is slow and boring with a pointless romantic subplot weighing it down. The entire cast is good but they can't keep this mess of a film afloat.
