This is to the hustler as steve mcqueen is to paul newman. Where the hustler had pool, this had poker and it does a good job of making a poker game exciting. Strong cast all around but the two stars of the poker game are steve mcqueen and edward g.
robinson, (that's right little caesar.) and that's where the movie shines. Outside of the poker Ann-Margret is just....well if you ever watch it you'll know.
