Review of The Cider House Rules (1999) by Lyndon G — 19 Dec 2007

I think I watched this once and I was surprised how much I liked it and I watched it again, and that was quite enough for me. It's undeniably well made, but it's one of those dramas that leave you with a heavy feeling in your gut and no particular sense why you had to go and get that done to you.

I didn't realize it had the same director as What's Eating Gilbert Grape? Funny, my experience of that movie was almost exactly the same.
