Review of The Chumscrubber (2005) by Chosen 7 — 18 Feb 2008
Kind of a disappointment since I had heard so many good reviews about this. The music was amazing though and the casting was great - Glenn Close was brilliant as a suburban mother who's trying to cover her loss behind her smile which makes her look like a mad person.
Jamie Bell was amazing as a troubled teen and I was pleased to see my favourite actor Ralph Fiennes in a role such as this. But something was missing from the plot, son't really know what. And the Chumscrubber scenes were really annoying and the film kind of collapsed in the end.
Shame though.
