Review of The Chumscrubber (2005) by Elizabeth W — 20 Dec 2007
A little over the top. Rather difficult to watch, and SUCH a downer, with an overly simplistic ending. It's REALLY trying to be American Beauty, but a lot of the characters are so unoriginal and the overall plot is so blah that you can't really feel the same amount of warmth/disgust you do for American Beauty.
Yet, the acting is good and I will always love a good suburbs-iconoclasm. Also, Jamie Bell is adorable and Justin Chatwin, though he plays a total douche, is also super hot.
