Review of The Chumscrubber (2005) by Edwin T — 08 Apr 2008
Great, committed performances lift this over-stuffed dramedy about the RX generation from the depths of mediocrity. Too many ideas, too many characters, populate the narrative, and you wonder why the big name cast signed on for so slight a proposition.
Fiennes, Janney and Bell fare best in the acting department, and the soundtrack's pretty sweet. Pity the movie's not quite the sum of its parts.
