Review of The Chumscrubber (2005) by Danielle K — 27 Jun 2008
Interesting social satire that charts territory previously mined by the Sam Mendez directed 'American Beauty.' It's not without its flaws though; the whole 'Chumscrubber' animation thing aside - in itself rather bizarre and totally needless - Posin's film has an annoying tendency to over-egg the 'Help Me I'm Middle-Aged and Trapped by Suburbia' theme, so much so that it loses it's way somewhat.
Worth watching nonetheless.
